We all know very well that parents are a child’s first teacher. Once that child is school age many parents think their job is done, that is very far from the truth. At such an early age the human brain absorbs information much like a sponge absorbs water. Teachers can only do so much in the time allowed during the school year so they depend on the parents to reinforce what their child has learned. With the development of ClassDojo parents, teachers and students can all stay in contact with each other. Comparable to social media you can share media photos, videos, and messages all in one place. Why wonder what your child learned in school today when you can see it for yourself? Nervous first-day jitters, don’t worry mom because your teacher can send you a message with a high five letting you know he or she is doing fine! ClassDojo really gives kids a voice of their own and allows them to express an interactive role in their learning experience. As parents, we get to see how our children are progressing throughout the year. An example is a homework assignment that your child is saying that she turned in but the grade hasn’t gone up. You have access to log into the app and check homework assignments and so much more. Writing assignments are a huge eye opener because you can really tell if your child is picking up on what is being taught. Questions or concerns about your child’s learning development or behavior can be addressed right through the app. personally if one was to ask why this app I would have to respond back, why not?
