Re: internet bogged down

I'm in Florida for the winter. I called Charter to see about a tem****ary
disconnect of my services (HD TV and Internet) and was told they didn't
have
anything like that. I asked about lowering my service level and was told
that "Sure, we can do that. Your new monthly bill will be about
$50/month".
Now folks, $50 a month for something I'm not able to use still seems like
a
lot to me. I asked them if I could still acess my Email inbox if I
disconnected and was told my Email inbox would be available for 6 months
after termination of service. So, I terminated service. Once I got online
in
Florida I tried to log in and found that I couldn't get access to my
Email.
I called Charter and this time I was told that if service is terminated,
Email access is also terminated.

I'm through with Charter. In Guntersville, it the only Cable Company
available so I guess I'm going back to Direct TV or Dish and dialup
internet.
