And Bush says what?!

by "2cents" <blah@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Dec 5, 2007 at 08:22 AM

Hello fellow myspacers and welcome to my latest anialation of the so called

leader of the free world.

Yes folks it's that time again! It's time to play "Bush said what?"!!!
YAY!
Really this game is getting too easy but I guess it's up to Mr. Bush to
change the rules, so here we go.

Now before we begin I need to make something clear. For reference I am
Canadian. I was also up until recently a Republican (well I would have
been
if I lived in the states) I like my guns, am for the death penalty and
believe god still has a place in the white house. However, in recent light
I
have been forced to put my love of guns and god on hold and root for the
other guy, as I figure it's the only chance America has. So with that
said,
time to roast Bush... :)

So I'm watching Americas most trusted news network and they are in the
process of revealing that the latest enemy of the United States (Iran) is
not actually pursuing a nuclear weapons program and that the Republicans
once again had it wrong. Turns out that Iran hasn't been in the nuclear
annihilation game since 2003 when they were originally exposed for trying
to
produce "Weapons of Mass Destruction" -Americas most used buzz line...

I guess they took a look at what happened to their neighbors and went
"Hmmmm, maybe this isn't such a good idea" -Well, I don't know what they
were thinking, but alas they gave up on making really big explosions. But
it
appears that little nugget of information was kept from our fearless
leader
who announced today that this is the first time that he's heard anything
about this. (Funny enough I actually buy that, wouldn't surprise me at all

to find out that the US president is the least informed person in the
country)

But here's where it goes "Bush" -In a news conference this week Mr. Bush
was
asked if finding out that Iran was not actually working on the bomb would
change his views on the little nation that decided not to risk a 10 year
war
with America. His reply: "Well, just because they haven't done it in 4
years
doesn't mean that they won't still do it again"

SAY WHAT?! K, why don't you just say what we all know your thinking?
"Well,
just because they aren't really a threat doesn't mean that I'm not going
to
do everything I can to wipe another Middle Eastern country off the map in
the next 12 months! That's what my daddy told me to do after all"

So here we are again, we have the Bush administration again telling the
American people that "hey, we have a threat here, we better go fight em
over
there before they come here"
But this time America isn't buying it.

A recent independent poll suggests that 70% of America, armed with this
new
information about Iran does not want to go fight another war. However this

is directly contrasted by the number of Republicans in Washington who as
usual couldn't care less what the people who put them in power want, and
overwhelmingly support Bush starting another unjustified war.
Gee, does anyone else think that's a little fishy. But really what else
are
they going to do, they can't agree with the Democrats (Who by the way had
a
field day with this story, and waged their own little war in the media
with
this one) and they can't go against their leader...Can they? One wonders
if
maybe they should, I mean the American people and the rest of the planet
are
looking at the current administration and shaking their heads, why can't
his
own party? Another question, why the heck is Bush still in power, haven't
presidents been impeached for this kind of stuff? (That stuff being
repeatedly lying to the American people)
I know Clinton got away with sleeping with his secretary and that was
almost
cause to impeach him, but really people this is major! The Bush
administration is once again cherry picking their facts, spinning the
media
and again trying to get into another war, isn't it time someone stood up
and
went
"Um, that's just not cool -I can't let you do this to my country, again"

Well, so far no one in the republican camp is willing to say anything
about
it so I guess the world is left to toil with the thought of world war III
for at least another 12 months. Funny enough, that's the exact term Bush
has
recently used to describe what he thinks of Iran. In his own words he
tells
the American people that "Iran could start world war III" -Um, perhaps we
bought that line when you went to war with Iraq, but as the old saying
goes
"Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me."

So here's what it comes down to, America has a chance to get off this war
tangent that the republicans have shoved down their throats for the past 8

years and do something about it in 12 months. But here's the problem, the
election is going to be greatly decided by baby boomers who although might

be on their death beds would rather vote for a government that would
destroy
the country then vote for either a black or female president.

Sad as it seems, racism and the thought that a woman has no place in
society
but in the kitchen may cause the destruction of the United States. What
it's
going to come down to in the next election is one question: Is America
ready
for a change, and a big one. Is America ready to elect either a black or
female president?

Well I don't know that America is ready, but if your black, under 30 or
directly opposed to the war you need to make sure that you make your views

known in 12 months and vote the Republicans out of office.

J.

P.S -Still white, still Canadian and still flying in the face of the CIA,
who loves to shut people like me down for having a view that disagrees
with
"Bush"

P.S.S -Support the troops, not their fault their leader is out to lunch.
