As an independent I was listening carefully to the Debate. I still, as of
this time, on the Democratic side feel Hillary is the strongest candidate
and She is my first Democratic choice followed by Obama.
In My Opinion
Strong Positives:
1) Need of affordable Health Insurance ... I'm not for nationalized
Health
Care but people should be able to afford Insurance and have insurance
without penalty for pre-existing conditions. While that may not be fair
to
Insurance Companies to saddle them with Pre-Existing Conditions the
Government should step in and subsidize their losses or protect their
interest with some of the money we give away to other countries. We can
give it to our own people first.
2) Condemnation of NAFTA, bad then, never good and destroyed many Alabama
and American families and businesses. It was bad then and one of the
worst
things the Democrats ever did to the country and I think on a par as bad
as
War as it devastated economically much of the country including our part.
3) Acknowledgement of Cor****ate Politicians (Democrats & Republicans) that
cater to Big Business and Special Interest rather than what's right for
the
country.
4) Recognition that Social Security is going to need Help this is a
snowball
building strength and will effect us sometime in the near future.
5) Prosecuting businesses that hire Illegals when they could hire
Americans.
Strong Negatives
1) Wholesale pull out of US Military from Iraq as I feel that would be
disastrous. The failure to acknowledge the surge as working allowing some
things to get better.
2) Statement, by some, that they put Human Rights, as in other countries,
above our own National Security. This is Horrible and singularly should
discount anyone being President. Job One Protect the Constitution and the
American people from enemies, Foreign and Domestic. If America ceases to
exist what happens to Human Rights then? Very Weak in my opinion and
Terrible to say anything but National Security First.
3) Drivers license for Illegals. First I feel secure the borders
positively, then consider what to do with those that are here but don't
put
them ahead of immigrants seeking to come here legally.
