I fear if MS does not get their act together soon it will mean a loss of
market share and create a new market for Linux or maybe another, as yet
unknown OS. While I think that some will move to Apple OS, due to Vista,
which with programs like Parallels and VM Ware from inside Apple OS you
can
run Linux or any Windows versions Apple being a closed system will always
limit or clamp their potential for growth. If you could, for instance,
choose to install Apple OS on your newly ordered hardware then chances are
you might do it whereas by remaining so closed and restricted chances are,
unless you establish a dealer****p that sells Apple, you most likely will
not
offer an Apple OS for it doesn't work with 3rd party Hardware and I doubt
they will change that anytime in the near future.
