Sort of reminds you of that saying - Those that fail to learn from
history
are destined to repeat it.
Lets hope not. You know though from Leno or Letterman who would question
people on the street asking questions like who is the Vice President to
other simple questions found that many young people know very little about
current or historical politics.
It's sad but it seems schools are letting an increasingly ignorant pool of
students graduate without any appreciation of Civics or History. More
attention is paid to Columbine than it is Abraham Lincoln, George
Wa****ngton, Thomas Jefferson or John Adams. More seem to think the
Constitution is a bowl movement rather than the do***ent that forms our
way
of government. It really is sad when we fail to teach and learn from our
past or worse neglect it all together.
