Hope everyone had a good Holiday Season this year. Looks like most have
taken time off from the NG also, with the exception of the spammers who
seem
to somehow flood just about every NG in USENET with their spam postings.
One wonders how much longer the internet can stand with it's existing
bandwidth given all the email and other spam that is put on here.
I wish there was a way that bandwidth providers had to either charge them
for their excess postings and use of bandwidth for their spam and unwanted
advertising or at least a way to penalize them. Otherwise many of the
great
benefits of the internet will possibly soon be either effected or lost.
