One monitor and Two Computers

by tango <tango@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jan 12, 2008 at 08:09 PM

I gave myself a new 22 inch LCD monitor for Christmas and decided to try a
KVM swith. For those not familiar with the term it stands for Keyboard,
Video, and Mouse. It allows you to use 1 monitor, keyboard, and mouse on 2

PC's.
Newegg had a special for $24.99 and free ****pping so I decided to buy a
couple. Works great, all you do is connect the monitor, keyboard, and
mouse
cables to a plug on a small plastic body about 3x3 which has a set of the
same cables for each PC.
You simply hit the auto scroll button twice and in about a second you are
switched to the other PC. It also allows for autoscan where you can set it

to switch between the 2 every 3 to 20 secs.
I never had any reason before because all my PC's had monitors but this
setup is great for sharing a more expensive Monitor.
The model is a IOGEAR Micro PS2 KVM Switch model GCS62.
If you buy many computer or electronic gadgets you should go to
www.newegg.com and sign up for their weekly email specials.
