No doubt in some areas Global Warming is a valid statement but then in
other
areas, just as valid, Global Cooling is a danger. Various places,
depending
on where you are have records set for record colds and record warm temps.
I
personally don't buy into that Man is responsible for any of it, cooling
or
warming, although we haven't been the best custodians of the world we
inhabit. One Volcano eruption and it can offset anything man has been
doing
for many years alone.
What aggravates me about it are people wanting to make radical changes to
our lifestyles yet unwilling to have those same changes apply to their own
selves. Even worse what drives me crazy are those folks that have to use
everything to back up their position. Years ago, just after Katrina,
everybody and their mentors were sounding the alarm about how Global
Warming
is going to cause mega outbreaks of Katrina size storms and greater due to
changing ocean and air temps. Now, today, I heard over the news (radio or
TV I can't remember, maybe newspaper story) how the "absence" of tropical
systems is due to Global Warming and now the lack of any storms is proof.
True the Ice Caps of the North are melting, I agree, but then I also
accept
that the Ice levels at the South end are advancing and becoming greater.
I'm just waiting around to see if December 26th, 2012 is actually going to
be the end of all civilization as ancient Aztecs and Mayan Indians
predicted
or was it Nostradamus, in his lost writings?
Yes I do believe that we are in the midst of a climate change period but
what direction and why I'm not willing to allow some scientist the right
to
categorically say and then have the ability to greatly effect the way I
live
my life. Those "chicken littlies" have already ruined McDonalds French
Fries and most other fried foods and the way they taste and who knows what
else they will eliminate or control.
Maybe all Global Warming is ... Is all the hot air escaping from
Wa****ngton
with another political season upon us. Or maybe it's the added heat from
folks like me getting all hot over folks wanting to control every aspect
of
your life anymore.
