Tax and Spend - Democrats?

by Gary Kendrick <kendrickgary@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Feb 20, 2008 at 07:37 PM

Don't always judge a book by it's cover.

Here is the article:
http://www.ajc.com/search/content/polinsider0218.html

What's it about? Taxing with wild abandon! Who is doing it?

Georgia Republicans.

The article referenced proves that Democrats aren't the only ones that tax
and a very good reason that I have voted Democratic, down the line, since
living in Georgia. The Democrats used to be in power in the Georgia
Legislature, and Governor. Now the Republicans rule the roost and while
they propose to do away with the state portion of the property taxes they
are attempting to add tax back to food and add many other taxes which will
more than make up for it. Note also that food and other necessities and a
tag tax and speeding tax will not only prompt more aggressive speed
trapping
but hit the poor who must eat whereas the property taxes that they are
removing is going to help the higher income folks who usually live in the
more affluent homes and mansions that abound around Atlanta and effect the
least folks, of lower income, whose homes don't have as high values.
Taxing, at a greater rate, the lower income folks and the higher income
folks benefit.

What does this have to do with Alabama and this NG? Nothing but I wanted
some who think I am such a staunch Republican to know I vote, and
criticize
whoever I feel abuses their power and position and to show that just
because
a party claims another party has a patient on something doesn't mean they
don't do the exact same thing at times.
