I am a Bama Grad from Engineering School and in raising my sons they were
big Bama fans. All but one also earned a degree from Bama. The prodigal
son
needed to go to Auburn for the best training for his profession. After
convincing him to do so he told me "Dad, I will go but you know I will
never
root for that football team!" Well, it took only one semester for him to
completely change his mind. He remains a huge Auburn Tiger. Alas, it was
the
only place he went wrong!!
But I agree with you regarding the "pretend to be" alumni. It happens for
both universities.
