I think the whole economy is resting on a very rotted and shaky peg-leg
foundation and gas increases to +$3.50 are the tremors before the main
shockwave hits. All the economist claim the economy is solid and looks
good
but that's political pondering and posturing I feel. I'm concerned about
the future and I'm more concerned that we don't have the caliber of
leaders
and management that got us out of the 1930's mess nor do we have a general
morality about the people that would get us through such times. I think
the
whole society is a lot more fragile than people give it credit for and
with
the overall consensus that many have that life has no merit or basis then
anarchy and civil distress isn't far behind. Maybe I'm all wet and
totally
wrong, I hope so, but I think IF we see a depression or worse in this day
and time it will be dog eat dog and the strong take from the weak.
We've taught this lesson very well over the last 50 years removing all
reference to religion or structured moral leader****p and with the
promoting
of GREED and getting yours at any cost.
Referring to anarchy, IF Hillary Clinton is successful in obtaining the
Democratic Presidential slot from Barak when and if he gets the majority
of
votes cast and/or the majority of delegates then I fear what you saw in
1968
or worse when Martin Luther King was killed will appear as a blip on the
screen.
$4.00 gas is coming and that's for sure but it's the ripples or tsunami
that
will follow it that concerns me. Cost of goods, Cost of getting them
here,
cost of food etc. Manufacturers will have almost no alternatives but to
eliminate jobs to keep competitive and stay above sinking themselves.
CEOs
and Management will not eat reductions so where will they come? The
people
that need to be working the most, the people that are paying the bulk of
the
taxes and keeping everything else going.
Sorry I'm sounding a bit like Chicken Little.
