What if?

Just curious to get various opinions on the following scenario?

Come August and the Democratic Convention.  Hillary has won Pennsylvania
by
10 points and Obama continues to lead in overall votes cast and delegates
based on actual votes cast.

What is the opinion if the Super Delegates ignore the total numerical
votes
case and delegates based on those votes cast and use their power to put
Hillary in the top spot for the Democratic pick either by casting their
votes and swinging the total delegate count to Hillary or deciding to
include Florida and Michigan in the final count or decision process.

What is the opinion on what the end result will be?

Is there a valid and potential case and need for both a conservative third
party candidate and say Hillary or Obama to run as an independent opposed
to
the Republican and Democratic party choices?  Would be an interesting
campaign indeed. 

Ralph Nader aside, if Hillary or Obama decided to mount an independent run
depending on who actually got the parties nod then for sure I would say
McCain would win hands down.  If a Conservative candidate ran as an
independent then for sure Obama or Hillary would be the President provided
no the one who didn't get the top nod accepted the VP position however if
both the Republicans and Democratic main choices were opposed by an
independent out of their party's base would be interesting, don't you
think?
