Thankfully not but the stocks backing my retirement are taking almost as
bad
a punch and are under full assault leaving me concerned about my
retirement
income. Oh yeah due to my disability status I'm living on that now, or
should I say existing. I'm so comforted and reassured though hearing that
President Bush says he realizes that people are having it tough now.
(NOT).

Now the Greed factor continues to insure a gloomy financial forecast:

In short the interest rate reductions that could lower the housing
mortgage
market aren't being passed along by the banks to the consumers. Instead
they are using the fed reductions to increase their profits while making
mortgages harder to obtain. Gas continues to climb and Congress is not
much
more help seemingly more concerned with who took steroids, even when they
weren't illegal than they are Oil Cost and Dollar devaluation.

Democrats & Republicans most all who have been in their positions far too
long and overstayed their welcome. Why should we be expecting them to
find
any urgency in the situation though? The only thing fewer in Wa****ngton,
other than empathy for the consumer, is needy politicians. Most any
politician, even to the Governors, are well into the millionaire club and
few feel any real financial pain or fear in their households so why do
they
care about the cost of gasoline or the cost of a gallon of milk and most,
quite honestly, as proved in the past by questions from the media, even
know
what the cost of a gallon of milk is because they have servants, maids,
and
aides that shop for them and do most everything else. The only financial
fear they feel is that of building their campaign funds up or when they
run
shallow of funds then they go out and promise all kinds of protective or
beneficial legislation to industries and people as they accept their Ruth
Chris dinners or (investigative) vacations to places like South Beach or
other terrible locations.

How can you expect people who have no concept of financial fear or with
the
total inability to empathize with the consumer to get any urgency about
them, Democrat or Republican?

Reason to worry or fear? Dollar at historic low and devaluation almost
every day. Oil at an all time high with no sign of decrease only now
China
with all those millions of people increasing an appetite for the black
stuff
as well as India both countries whom we (US) can't send enough money to
outsource or replace our manufacturing or service jobs. The fewest
refineries we have ever had, I believe, and the least domestic oil fields
producing oil. Oh add to that sources for the oil we need and crave from
an
all time high number of countries that absolutely hate US and wish we
didn't
exist as a country. Does anyone sense a recipe for destruction here?
Unheard of rates of foreclosures of mortgages given to people who either
never should have qualified for them or who were teased to take 100%
mortgages at sub-prime adjustable rates buying over valuated homes.
Greedy
cor****ate Executives that seemingly profit greater for sub-par performance
and even more if they can drive their company into the ground, can anyone
say "Home Depot". Reason to worry? Why?

About the only other front to this perfect financial storm is that the
folks
who predict hurricanes have missed grossly the last two years, thankfully,
and that the Earthquakes in the US, some long overdue, haven't hit yet so
that our government can once again do a bailout of the losses to
compensate
for their inept FEMA reaction to the actual storm just so they,
politicians,
can look good in the eyes of the voters yet 50% or more of the funds
either
are lost and unaccounted for and no one seems to care to look for them and
prosecute those that profit from such disasters and generosity of others.

I don't believe, right now, anyone out there in our current political mix
can come close to fixing this mess. I can only wish we were in the last
days of God's prophecy knowing that at least there would be an explanation
for the coming doom but I'm not going to pronounce that fate yet. I do
though blame our current situations, which I fear will grow exponentially,
to decisions made in the 1960s on where our generation has done all it can
to remove and distance itself from God. We want to deny God, spit at God
and remove God altogether from Schools and Government. We've done a good
job at doing that so now we are seeing the benefits and attributes of
going
it alone on human ability only or at least the start of that. Now add one
more fact. Russia is back, richer and much more determined to rebuild a
military that has suffered from the 80's to a position of unabated
strength
and China, who before hasn't seemingly been interested in expansionist
moves, builds it's military and technological capabilities much on our
dollars and money and technology, building a Navy that can forecast their
power and strength across the ocean like never before, Talk about a
"sleeping giant". All the time we have done all in our power to
disassemble
our manufacturing abilities in the name of ecology or for the greed of
greater profits from lower cost of production expenses on the backs of
slave
labor in India, China, and the far East.

Sorry for the long post, I'm not one, as you know, to be brief and on this
topic I'm quite passionate. I see my country disintegrating right in
front
and around me both morally and financially. We have come to the point
that
we chastise anyone for mentioning God or Christianity yet FEAR to say
anything that might offend anyone of Muslim belief because we might cause
some offense in one of the middle east countries that we buy so much oil
from. Find any friendly country that we buy oil from (Mexico or Canada)
and
we are falling over ourselves to offend them and ruin relation****ps with
them all while trying to bend over backwards for countries that revile us
condemn us in every breath thinking we'll change their opinions about
America.
