Would Socialism not be more akin to government run industry rather than
capitalism and social welfare programs be more akin to Communism leading
to
a classless society? That's not a lead to stir up a reaction but rather
an
attempt to understand a more dividing line between socialism and
Communism.

I'm still amazed that there are business owners in Communistic China. I
thought in a Communistic country there are no private business owners but
rather everything is controlled from a central government that discourages
any type of Class system yet China has certainly got a growing middle
class
and a greatly enlarged upper class or rich due much in part to all the
business that we (US) are sending them.

I'm thinking that the Communistic government in China is much different
than
that found in North Korea, Castro's Cuba, and a Stalinist USSR. Then
again
I have to admit a measure of inadequacy when it comes to knowledge about
the
systems of Government in those countries.
