We agree totally on these points, unfortunately, and will be strung around
for the ride. I keep hoping that the conservative side of the Republican
party will field a third party candidate and either Hillary or Obama,
which
ever one loses will mount also a third party run at the Presidency. Then
maybe Gore will jump into the Frey and Jesse Ventura can throw his hat in.
Would be an interesting evening, election night, when very possibly we
would
and could elect a third party candidate as the two major parties would
most
likely not be able to establish a true majority.
I still keep going back, remembering, when they were going to do a reality
show like American Idol but called "American President" where people, from
all over the country, could and would compete openly against each other
fielding ideas and answering questions and participating in debates with
each other. The end winner that is selected, voted on like the American
Idol winners, would then be signed up, entered, and funded with an initial
amount for advertising and actually run in the election. In my mind that
would be the only way a potentially unknown person could be found. I
don't
know why it never happened, could be established politicians killed it
before it ever got started fearing they could and would lose their party
monopolies.
