Here, Atlanta that is, several economic experts are saying $5.50 a gallon
by
mid summer is not beyond expectation and they expect unless something is
done to counteract the trend then $7.50 could be seen by next year or
Summer
of next year.
When you see the dark clouds you know there's a storm on the horizon when
you see the wall cloud you know a super cell is near but when you see the
funnel reaching down to the ground and debris flying around it then you
know
damage is being done. At $3.00 a gallon the storm clouds were gathered
but
but at $5.50+ you can bank on the perfect economic storm that would be the
conjoining of a Category 5 Hurricane and F5 Tornados surrounding it.
Conservatives are trying to say economic times are good and it's just a
tem****ary thing and liberals aren't doing anything about it either.
Politicians in general, I believe, are hapless and isolated from the pain
as
most politicians in Wa****ngton are easily in the millionaires club and are
far too busy playing partisan politics than interested in addressing the
catastrophic problems looming with the fuel cost. Don't get me wrong I
don't think it's the fuel cost alone but it's the trickle down effect and
the effects on the rest of the economy that it will have. I feel a
recession is certain if we aren't there now but I certainly feel that an
event similar in scope to the depression is very likely unless someone
gets
a reign on the cost of fuel for like air and food it isn't a luxury but a
necessity to conduct a living and do business.
This could be the spark that sets off anarchy within our country or
hopefully the best it will do would be that the voting public will finally
find something worthy to vote everyone of the politicians out and get a
whole new batch. I don't think this is a Democratic or Republican thing I
think it's a disaster happening while parties are being all too interested
in tearing down the other party to keep or regain power and to heck with
the
nation as long as they have theirs when it all comes down.
Yes, I'm pessimistic.
