Well I blew off the caucuses. The way the TX Democrat primary works is
first you vote and then you caucus so the real fanatics get to vote
1.2 times (or something--the math is really complicated. There is some
kind of delegate allocation based on the number of Democrat votes
recorded in the precinct in the last general election. I never did see
believably audited arithmetic, but it was something like another .2
vote if I caucused.) The early voting was a piece of cake. I went to
the polling place last Saturday at 7:00 A.M. and it was five minutes
from parking my car to getting back in it to drive home. But last
night I went back to the polling place for the caucus at 7:15 P.M.
when my West Houston Democratic Club pals (100% Hillary sup****ters as
far as I could tell, by the way) told me to be there. There was no
place to park. I heard later that many people did not get out until
midnight it was such a jam pack.
So I voted once, not 1.2 times for Hillary. Since I don't actually
have that strong a preference whether it's her or Barack Hussein Obama
just as long as it's somebody with the sense to try appeasing the
terrorists and saving some money I couldn't bother with doing any
more.
I have only 2 days and 3 weeks remaining on the commute from hell.
Yes! I am down to counting 18 rides back and 17 rides in remain. Then
I can live again. I remember telling Darling Dearest shortly before we
broke up I could not possibly live like this and she thought I was
ridiculous. I recall an exact phrase from her paragraphs of ridicule
"you have never even tried it."
Well now I have and I was absolutely correct. Maybe I should call her
up and tell her "I told you so".
On Saturday I hurt myself. I did a yoga routine and 2500 skip ropes in
the morning then I tried to do a ballet routine in the afternoon and I
suffered a small lumbar muscle pull when I was doing a calf stretch
right at the start. On Sunday I was immobile. On Monday I did yoga
light. Yesterday I did yoga light. This morning I did 1200 skip ropes
and I will be back to full speed within two or three more days. The
saga of the aging athlete.
I didn't get far into "Being and Nothingness". It goes back to the
library tomorrow night and who knows when I will have another go at
it. I have been reading chivalry romances. Did the Niebelunglied. Am
in the middle of Parsifal. Have Tristan and Isolde and Tennyson's
Idylls of the King stacked up to go. What a bunch of idiots. ***
politics should have been here a couple hundred years earlier if you
ask me. There is little doubt in my mind the greatest technological
achievement of the human race is DNA paternity testing.
