Today was okay, not great but okay, till I got home and took my
hearing aid out to watch a movie (with headphones 'cuz the volume I
need to understand without subtitles bothers Miss Sensitive Ears --
and at certain hours everybody within 80 feet who's not deaf as a
bug); being too damn lazy to get up, fetch the plastic case, and set
the encased doohickey in a safe place I laid it atop my desk here --
where it got knocked off and found by the dog who tried to eat it. It
looks useable with minimal repair, a matter of installing my spare
plastic ear hook on the little rubber tube (it's an old-fa****oned
behind-the-ear thing, which in this case is a good thing), provided
the doggy-tooth marks on the business end don't mean the electronics
are too badly damaged. I won't know a damn thing till I regain enough
sobr^?^?^? dexterity to attempt the obvious repair, and I won't know
if that's all that's needed till I see if I can hear La Possum. Cross
your fingers, okay?
In my next life, if there is one, if I cannot be provided with fully
functional ears I would at least like to be surrounded only by women
whose voices carry and resonate. Piccolos I can live without, etc.
"Ghost Dog" was a good movie; however, I appreciate that having a Code
can be a good thing but that dude's code was wack. If you come gunning
for me I might let you survive it, I might even let you win, but such
would depend more on my mood at the time than anything -- and not at
all on my being anybody's Loyal Sl^?^?^? Retainer. Egad, how "counter-
revolutionary" can a movie possibly be? The one with a Code was Black,
and his code said he had to let his White master kill him unopposed.
(Don't tell me y'all need me to ask Bukvich to explain what's wrong
with THAT.) Lemmetellya, some "moral victories" are worse than losing.
On the other hand, if I ask politely for something that means a great
deal to me I'd consider it an honor for my request to be granted. So,
would one of you nice netizens please HUNT ME DOWN AND KILL ME? Soon?
I'm so bloody tiered.
D.
