This depends on where you are from. I am from Oakland CA and I like
hills. People I have asked from the gulf coast mostly do not like
hills.

In my father's hometown in WV there is a three stack coal power plant
50 feet outside the town limit. Forget breathing in that valley
whenever there is a temperature inversion. Besides the power plant
it's very pretty. They probably even have bears. Little black bears,
not big brown ones. Not the kind that think we are made out of tasty
meat.
There isn't any work there. Funny thing since I moved to Houston is I
have never once heard anybody complain about no work no money the job
market sucks, which was absolutely the most popular topic in New
Orleans possibly excepting who's zooming who and how drunk we got
Saturday night.
I looked at the Southfork Ranch on google satellite view. There are
thousands of people in Houston with fancier places than that. The
woman in the office next to me just bought a 10 thousand dollar horse.
Really stupid since you can rent as nice a horse as you'd want for 150
an hour but some people just love to spend their money as you can't
take it with you, right?
Whatever. If she had told me that 20 years ago I probably would have
asked her if she knew how much coke she could buy with that dough but
I just said "that's nice".
