Seligman versus Protagoras is real life? Anyway I was just trying to
show that the topic was not so esoteric as you assumed, if one broadens
the concept a bit.

Is that where you solve a problem by creating a few more of them?

Bostrom's mixer turns that egg white into fluffy foam. It's all
in your face! Call in the squirrels!

Magnificent or tiny it doesn't matter, reality is a hoax! The bigger
the deception or the smaller it both makes them easier to hide in plain
sight.

That's an unbelievably statistically unlikely position to take, given
the time the universe seems to exist and its size. So you think we of
all planets are the first, maybe even the chosen ones? Remove that
religious bull**** meme from your mind before it starts another war.

Is it a promise?

Nothing much to see here. My life until now has been a big series of
unfortunate cir***stances, stupid false beliefs and mistakes. I picture
myself as a guy living in the jungle trying to get in contact with
civilization. Do you really think my spirit belief system and knowledge
of the jungle ecosystem will have much relevance inside modern city
life? The best I could hope for is to find a big road crossing my dirt
path, start following it, and hope nobody notices where I'm really
coming from. Create the impression I'm originating from the big road
instead of the dirt path. Erase my complete life history up until now
and replace it with a better past.

As I said, I'd like to forget about both of them.

What's to regret if you were subject to jungle law?

> There is almost no rational reason to be afraid of dying.

Dying is easy. I'd like to completely disappear as if I had never
existed. Maybe instant sublimation into gaseous phase is the closest
thing I will achieve. Anyone wants to throw a tsar bomb on my head?

This from a speech he held: (http://www.yalom.com/pfister.html)

"There are times when I feel (but keep to myself) sorrow as I consider
the amount of an individual=E2=80=99s life that can be spent in bondage to
obsessive-compulsive behavior, and to practices of prolonged meditation
or excessive preoccupation with ritualistic practice. What is lost is
some part of human freedom, creativity and growth."

How about a hundred million flat earthers?

So you whipped out a fictional character in order to subdue the anima?
Impressive.

He's a ghost, just like yourself. The best thing would be to forget all
about it and try to become someone else. Or maybe forget about the
second part, just disappear altogether, never to return.

You're off the hook. I told you mine, but it's nonexistent so I won't
hold it against you if you don't reciprocate. On a second thought,
don't tell me anyway, it's probably the same kind of spirit crap I used
to believe in myself. It leaves a large void, but life's better without
it.
