I have a laptop that I transport to various locations.....don't want to

Verizon $89 per month for wireless Broadband....Need dial-up access or
some
equivalent.....
WiFi is not reliable? Needs password? etc etc.....
Free providers = ads, ads ads...??
AOL crashes machines and sucks up too much memory , etc....I just need
web-surfing and email.....
Any advice is appreciated....
