Wow. I'm a long-lost Massachusetts native who's now living in the boonies
of Arizona. Just got access to NGs again (after a long hiatus) and
thought
I'd see what was happening back home, so I subscribed to this one.
Imagine my surprise to find that the most recent post here is almost two
months old. And there are only 176 posts in the whole NG over the past
four
years. Not at all what I expected from Boston. I thought people would be
stoked about the Pats and the Sox, especially, right now and that this
place
would be lively. But reality sucks. [sigh]
Oh, well. I'm here anyway, so I'll post my thoughts. I originally wanted
the Sox to take the Series in six games, 'cause I really wanted them to
win
it at home. But I'll be very happy if they pound the Rockies again
tonight
and wrap it up in four games.
Twice in three years, after an 86-year drought. Amazing. Go Sox!
P.S. Considering the inactivity around here, I don't expect that anyone
will even respond to this post. But I've got about a half-hour before the
pregame bullshit starts, so what the hell...
