Ami (sans the "Pro")  was written for Windows; it was a light version of 
Samna's DOS, "Samna Word IV" product and released in mid-1989. I still
have 
my beta test disk from late '88, and some letters from Samna in Atlanta 
about the product. It was utterly cool at the time, with a non-standard 
windows interface that was easier to use than any Windows product since.
