The measure to amend term limits was originally part of a package that
included redistricting reform.
Assembly Speaker Nunez, Senate President Pro Tem Don Perata, and other
legislative leaders went back on their promise to sup****t a ballot
measure to reform redistricting.
Proposition 93 lost by seven points. While most voters in California
have the attention span of a turnip, I wonder if that seven percent of
voters who made up the margin of defeat would have sup****ted
Proposition 93 if the legislative leaders had followed through on
their promise for a redistricting reform measure.
