Most of the media, at least the TV media, is tone-deaf. They are so used to
cynicism and gamesman****p that they can't see the forest for the trees.
One
can imagine Blitzer or the fools at Fox coming on right after the
Gettysburg
Address or Martin Luther King's "I have a dream" speech and talking about
everything but the meaning and significance of what had just been
communicated. They just don't get it.
We've got to do something about the media and how it is, because of the
hourly news cycle, diverting the American people from what is im****tant
and
meaningful in public discourse. Rather than getting a wise distillation of
the days news at the end of the day we have non-stop blather about racial
demographics, guilt-by-association, infidelity, etc etc.
My solution is to get my news from NPR and Huff Post. Forget Fox and CNN.
