That's your 'solution' to gambling? Write a law that no one has to pay
off
their debts? You can do the same for credit cards the same way, and it
will
probably do the world a lot more good.
Look, we're all sorry you lost the rent at yur local casino, but
gambling
is not a problem for the world, it's a problem for you. The solution is,
don't
do it. Stay out of casinos. Avoid 'friendly poker games.' And don't buy
lottery tickets. You seem to think they are not part of gambling. They
are.
The only difference is, their odds are insultingly bad. I live in a state
where the government has fought the introduction of casino gambling like
crazy, but they have TWO big jackpot lottos, plus I don't know how many
smaller ones, and last I checked, some 70 scratch-off tickets, some as
high as
$20 a pop! I've watched people step up and rattle off a litany of "box
this"
and "doubvle that". Want a kicker? It's like being in line at the horse
track.
Except I'm behind them in line with a sixpack of Pepsi.
