 There are cars that run on compressed air.... if government would take
one 
of the few systems
 that are available and phase out the manufacture of gas engines and take 
the nessary steps that
 are needed to reduce our dependency on oil, we would not be in this mess.

Secondly if we
 even showed the world that we are seriously considering steps to reduce
oil 
dependency the
 price of crude would drop. As Americans, we have a system that works, and

we are to greedy
 and to lazy to do the right thing and get off the oil addiction... We
could 
be doing things like
 building better mass transit systems and serious research into alternate 
fuels, but it's easier to
 just pull up to the pump.

 We are being weaned off of oil ....  Considering that other nations have 
been paying more than
 we have for a whole lot longer than us we should consider ourselves
lucky.
