I've read on the subject a little and seen a series about it on the
history
channel and youtube.
The car does 60 mph and gets decent milage before needing a refil, which
you could convert
gas stations to recharge the compressor or a small motor can be installed
to kick in and recharge
the tank. even that way, gas consumption would be drastically reduced.

The tanks are said to be made of composit carbon, tough and can
withstand
abuse, if it blows
the tank would just disintigrate with no shrapnel. It's got to be safer
than the old pinto's we
used to drive.

There are a few smart cookies out there, it's more a matter of we are so
used to what we have,
that it is hard to let go.... It's got to happen sooner or later, I
prefer
sooner, as I for one really
don't want to rely on any other country than our own. Made in the USA
and
NASA used to
mean something in this country once... we need to get that state of mind
back.
