I've lived in both rightwing and leftwing areas.  I'm well aware of
the dimunition of free speech in both places.  Right now I live in one
of the most conservative places in the country, and believe you me,
they totally restrict free speech.  For example, we have one talk
radio station that comes in during the daytime.  On it we start the
day with G. Gordon Liddy, who is hardly a liberal.  He is followed by
O'Reilly, once again, hardly a liberal.  Then we have a local radio
show hosted by an ex-city councilman who has nobody but politicians
and business people on his show, all of whom are conservative
Republicans in good standing.  After his show, we get Sean Hannity,
once again, hardly a liberal.  There's another conservative on after
Hannity, and finally, Lars Larson.  So, every single day on the squawk
box, we get nothing but one conservative after another.  Anyone to the
left of Ronald Reagan is considered a leftwing radical and you NEVER
hear their point of view.   It's appalling and every bit as unfair as
the situation in the leftwing strongholds.  Both left and right have
divided up the country and each of them walk all over the rights of
anyone who doesn't subscribe in toto to their political ideology.
