They aren't hurting because of it. And since there, the government IS
the oil company, the only forgone income is that which the government
"could" be making. Call that a subsidy if you want but they still pay
dirt cheap gasoline prices because they are a producer first. And
it's just p[lain hilarious that you're trying your damndest to
convince us that a government is subsidizing itself.
In Kuwait the government is the oil company. Has been since 1975.
And they make around a 488% profit off of oil.

Granted they are most likely paying a little over a buck a gallon if
they are keeping up with the other OPEC nations in the region. The 70
cent figure came from a CNN Money Page from last year.

They're paying for the same thing per gallon that everyone else does.
They're paying a minimum of the break even price of oil plus the costs
of refining, tran****tation and distribution. What they aren't paying
is any taxes per gallon or cor****ate profit(actually their government
may be making a small profit just like big oil) along with the
biggest difference which is they AREN'T paying $100 more (like we do)
for the raw material.

The break even price for oil in Kuwait is $17 a barrel. That's how
much it costs THEM http://www.oil-price.net/
If you have a cite showing where the government of Kuwait is charging
itself $120 a barrel for oil then post it.
Look up the price we paid at the pump back in the 80s when oil was
between $15 and $20 a barrel and you'll see that the Kuwaitees are
paying close to the same price now.

You can piss and moan all day about "forgone income" if it floats your
boat but your argument does nothing whatsoever to dispute my point
that they pay less for gas largely because they produce so much oil.
If you can show us in a logical argument how the people of Kuwait
would be paying the same price at the pump if they only produced 40%
of their own oil like we do then please do so.
