yeah he was being chased past mt Garfield by the UTAH highway patrol and 
half of Glenwood canyon was a dirt road in those scenes there too.

but I remember him running a guy off in the riverbed.  the other guy was 
trying to race him in an old Jaguar. here's a link. looks kinda like Dewey

bridge might not be.
