I have just recently (not 5 minutes ago) tried to find publications,
writings, articles by/on Blacks and African American contributions to
naturist literature and there is (sadly) none.
Am I the only one who publishes a periodical? I did, however read
postings (1997) on the interests thereof and found that "Nudist Weekly"
was published by a Black Naturist group out of New York years ago and
was archived in a library.
Thank goodness for the blogs now.
Probably the reason that our message isn't reached is because we "hide
it under a bushel, NO?...". Maybe... maybe not.
At any rate I want to encourage my brothers and sisters (you know who
you are) out there who have naturist clubs to publish your meetings,
thoughts, desires for naturism in the future, etc. so that there won't
be any more loss of history and roadmaps for the generations to come.
I heard from some of you more often when your groups were smaller. What
happened? Did we outgrow our village? I hope that's not the case.
It's a terrible rut that we as African Americans have befallen.
So we have lost what's dear and precious, to find that other cultures
and peoples have taken what we have created. Building the freeways...
horticulture (cutting grass)...restuarants...cleaning. So who owns
these establishments now?
That is all...
