The federal government by far is the largest land owner in Alaska
while only 2 percent of the land is owned by the private sector. So
the federal funding you complain about is largely for federal
interests and not Alaskan resident interests.
The railroad extension is an effort to provide trans****tation for the
Army to the training facilities and space located at Fort Greely. The
Stryker brigade is based at Fort Wainwright at Fairbanks. The Army
now has to drive their Stryker vehicles and sup****t vehicles over 100
miles down a State Highway to Ft. Greely. Not only does this put
unwanted wear on the vehicles it is traffic hazard for civilians that
use the road. The railroad will also be used for trans****tation for
the newly built missile defense site at Ft. Greely. That will
eliminate the extra handling and trans****tation problems for moving
missiles, warheads, etc from the railroad cars to trucks then hauling
the materials to Ft. Greely down a State Highway used by the public.
The extra handling of warheads is definitely an unwanted hazard for
Fairbanks since the railroad yard is located in the center of town.
Your opinion about HAARP is out of date. Evidently you have been
reading, "Angels Don't Play This HAARP" which is an out of date book.
Try finding current information from the HAARP website at:
http://www.haarp.alaska.edu/
We also have an up to date super computer located at the University of
Alaska that is used by HAARP scientists.
