Right now "nautical twilight" begins at 10:47 PM and
ands at 4:09 AM, and it does not get darker than
nautical twilight. (The sun sets at 9:21 PM and rises
at 5:34; between those times and nautical twilight it is
called "civil twilight", and is bright enough, for
example, to drive without headlights on, even if that
wouldn't be too smart. It is possible during nautical
twilight, but that is really just plain dumb.)
On April 23rd the sun will set a 22:29 PM and rise at
4:21 AM, and it will never get darker than "civil
twilight". Essentially, at that point it is "daylight"
for 24 hours a day.
On May 10th the sun will go below the horizon at 1:05
AM and come back up at 1:41 AM, and it will not set again
until August 2nd.
