That's a trick used to make it look bigger than a one man show.
FYI, a search of the Alaska business license database on "Beck"
doesn't indicate anything for Larry Beck. You might could check
the court records for his estate settlement, if any.
Or try writing a letter to the Daily Snooze asking if anyone
knows who holds copyright to Larry's stuff now. The registrar of
copyrights at the Library of Congress sometimes knows about
rights transfers, but only if the new copyright owner bothers to
register the change.
