I agree with the last poster. I spent 1 1/2years in Fairbanks, AK, a
long long way up North from Anchorage. Spent 2 winters there, never
heard of a Polar bear. We did have huge black bears that picked
through our trash dump. Maybe that Polar Bear floated down on a slab
of ice and pulled off in Anchorage to see how the city slickers were
living?
