I am a Native European, and dont care what Semites think. If that's what
you call it. If you want to learn how to think, Read Plato & Aristotle.
As for Schoenfield's "The Passover Plot", he points out many
incongruities in the story of the crucifixion.
Some points that come to mind:
The Roman army *owns* a body on the cross, and the whole point of
putting it there, was to *leave* it there, as a lesson to all who pass
by. They also well understood the Semetic cultural tradition of burial
as soon as possible, and meant to disturb sensibilities on that account.
It was SOP for a soldier to use a club to break the legs. That was not
done to Jesus. Without sup****t by the legs, the body hangs, making
breathing difficult, and causing a form of asphyxiation. If anything,
they would have provided wine, not vinegar, which is a stimulant. The
Romans wanted the victim to suffer, and would not have used a spear to
shorten the suffering.
