I heard about the problem of "Armenian genocide" for the first time at
age 26 when I went to US. This fact alone shows that there is no
hostility between Armenians and Turks in Turkey. I went to the public
library in New York and looked at a few magazines published in the
1920s. If I remember correctly, it was in New Statesman that I read
about a joint session of US Congress dealing with the Armenian
genocide allegation.
One Senator said that there were American missionaries in the region
at that time, many had participated - with the permission of the
Ottoman Government - in the relocation of the Armenians of the region,
and that they had not re****ted genocide.
Contradictory views were also expressed by several speakers. One of
them said that, among the nations forming the Ottoman Empire, the
Turks were by far the best people, and he gave examples of Turkish
behavior even at times of trouble.
The conclusion appeared to be determined by the following view
expressed by a Senator, as I remember it: "Suppose that our southern
neighbor Mexico were a powerful state and had began to invade our
southern states. Suppose also that many of our southern citizens of
Hispanic origin had joined the Mexican army and others were engaged in
sabotage acts behind our army. What would we do to those citizens of
ours? The Ottoman Government did exactly what we would do to them." In
fact, during World War II, the Japanese citizens of US have been kept
behind barbed wires although they had done nothing wrong against the
US army or citizens.
Most of the "proofs" of Armenian allegations were forged later.
Moreover, what US Congressmen did not know was the fact that Armenians
had started genocide against the Turks of the region even before the
Russian army entered Turkish soil. Armenians wished to become the
majority in the region so that they could create an independent state
there, as I explained in another post of mine. Armenians refuse to
open their archives, like the Turks did, because they are trying to
hide the fact they are the culprits of genocide. Armenians have
committed the most atrocious crimes. For example, they put Turks in
Mosques and burned them alive, including innocent children, women, and
old people. They cut open the bellies of pregnant women and took the
babies out at the end of their bayonets. Turks never did such things.
Mass graves of Turks are still being discovered in the region.
The present day US politicians who sup****t the Armenian allegation of
genocide are after political gains. A Senator made this clear in the
recent past. He stopped sup****ting the Armenian thesis when the
President told him that he was harming US interests. He explained this
change in his behavior by saying that he was an American before being
a politician. This is an admission of the fact that he was sup****ting
the Armenians for securing personal political gains in complete
disregard of his country's interests. Of course, someone was doing
that cannot claim that he was trying to protect the interests of the
Armenians. In fact, Armenians keep loosing much because of their
unethical behavior seeking to secure undeserved gains. At the time
when the French parliament was about to vote a resolution about the
alleged Armenian genocide, an Armenian journal wrote that the French
politicians were again using the Armenians for securing personal
gains.
The US politicians who are using the Armenians to secure personal
gains must understand that they not only harm the Interests of
Armenians and of Americans but are also used by the Armenians in a way
to harm US interests. Yes, Armenians are presently using foreign
politicians for securing undeserved gains, because foreign politicians
are doing the same thing to them as they did in the past. This is a
race of criminality which will have no winner. The worst part of it is
that it keeps sowing the seeds of violence in more places than
realized.
