i understand quite well actually

turkey is a large, diverse country, and turks are proud of that

due to geographical and environmental factors many turks live in
traditional/self reliant communities, like many of our mountain turk
(a.k.a. kurd)  friends live in non industrial areas

their sustenance level comfortable on the local scale, but not many of
them contribute beyond that, their efforts are much localized, thus
not alter the gdp output significantly

while "independent" armenia is the 124th :-)>

turkey is the 7th for agricultural, and 21st for industrial output on
world scale

also is the largest tv-set producer an the 6th largest auto
manufacturer in europe
