Khanasor, a valley on the Turkish-Persian border
near the town of Salmast, was the center of the
Armenian trans****t of men and material into Turkey.
The Mazrig Kurdish tribe occupied the valley,
massacred Armenian villagers, and ambushed
Armenian freedom fighters. In order to teach the
Kurds a lesson, the Armenians organized an
expedition made up of Dash****s, Hnchaks, and Armenagans,
who surrounded the Kurdish tribe and rendered it
incapable of any future action against Armenians.
Khanasor is considered one of the most im****tant
victories of Armenian arms in the struggle for independence.
