You could attend my cooking class, half day course in traditional
Austrian cuisine such as dumplings,Schnitzel, Goulash, Strudels of all
kinds. See more at www.austriancookingschool.com

Visit a real Viennese pub (Gasthaus) for lunch. Blunznstricker at
Ottakringer Street for example.

Have a cup of gold (coffee) in a Vienna Kaffeehaus.

Also mind to leave the beaten tourist paths, Vienna is a save place,
there are no "NoGo" areas or so. Try to find places where the locals
go. Use public trans****t to get around, watch people, ... very good
public trans****t, get a day pass so you can hop on and off any
bus, tram, metro. In your case a week pass suits best because they are
valid from monday to sunday and only cost 14 EUROs. To compare: a
single ride costs already 1.70, with the week pass you save a whole
lot of money.

Museumsquartier (MQ) is a hot pick, also nice gastronomy there.

All the best and have a great time, Bernhard.
