Who cares about Barcelona?
Although they have a small and friendly aficionado
crowd, overall, they dont like the Corrida, as you
rightly say. Never have. You have to get into some
deep Spanish mindset to understand why. But you can
see where the're coming from when you do a bit of
cultural history. So, it's unimportant that Barcelona
bans anything. I'm sure they are actively and succesfully
promoting homosexual marriage with the Spanish people.
Each to his own, I guess!

Aficianados:
The Animal Rights activists convinced authorities in Barcelona to ban
bullfighting. I've read that the taurine culture has never been a big deal
there, anyway, but still one can't help but be concerned that this is the
beginning of dark days ahead for bullfighting fans. Will the ban spread to
the
rest of Spain?
I know I'm risking the wrath of the Animal Rights people by posting this
message, but this news is important in the taurine world.
Any thoughts?
