Now that the Russian government has been forced
to admit that their first reaction to the takeover
of the school by murderous religious fanatics was
to tell a whopper of a tansparent lie about the
number of hostages in the school, one has to wonder
what else they have been lying about.
For instance, just consider the Russian government
scenario regarding the first explosion in the school.
They re****ted that just as a team of "volunteers"
had arrived at the back of the school to pick up
bodies, one of the terrorist bombs went off
by accident."
Maybe. Yet, why right then, just after the truck
with the "volunteers" had pulled up and the "volunteers"
had gotten out of the truck.
Why is it that right then an explosive would become
"untaped," or "fall out of a basketball hoop" as
Russian governmental sources have suggested?
Could it be that the "volunteers" were Russian
security agents in disguise, who were in that
truck in the alley as the result of a cold-
blooded decision to attack and kill the hostages
and hope for as few casulties as possible?
Could it further be that they may in fact set
off one of the bombs as a diversion, but then
their plan went awry and things spun horribly
out of control?
Well, since the Russian government began its
offical description of the incident by lying and
giving wildly innacurate information about the
number of hostages in the school, it is very
unlikely that they ever plan to give a factual
account of this horrible tragedy.
Please spare me the knee-jerk reactions of who
am I to question the Russian government. Exactly
why is it because we civilized folks know the
terrorists were crazed, bloodthirsty fanatics in
the first place, who no doubt willingly blew
themselves to hell, we are not supposed to ask
any questions about Russian tactics and possible
reckless behavior when so many innocents have
lost their lives?
The Russian government seems to wish to be
respected around the world. Perhaps they would
have a better chance of achieving that if they
would try to cure themselves of the old Stalinist
habit of issuing a stream of transparent
lies immediately whenever things go wrong.
