In China the male earns the most money! They are to take care of the
parents
in their old age.
The Chinese pension system is to blame.
My wife, who is mainland Chinese, mother is a retired doctor her pension
is
900rmb(116 USD) per month and her father is a retired accountant pension
is
1200rmb(154 USD) per month.
The Chinese "one child policy" does have some loop-holes and are now being
exploited, if you have the child born in a Hong Kong hospital, then it is
not considered a mainland born
so it is exempt.
I've lived in China for 4 years, and can understand the need for a male
child, it may not be right but this is the mentality of the Chinese.
