<G> But that is no official or governmental statement. That was simply the
polemical (and wrongly put) statement by this Cohen who disagreed with the
successful resolution in the US congress.
The OP to which you replied put it actually very clearly:
"The reason Turkey is engaged in this reprehensible
and unforgivable denial of the Armenian Holocaust
is NOT because it was perpetrated by some ancient
and bygone Turkish government..."
"It is impossible to deny the Armenian Genocide.
The only thing the genocide deniers can do is to
bring shame & dishonor on themselves..."

As far as I know "genocide of American Indians" can be and is being freely
discussed in the States. You will not get jailed, taken to court (as in
the
case of Orhan Pamuk) or even shot (as in the case of Hrant Dink) when you
talk about "genocide of American Indians" in the States.
It's this vicious, typical fascist denial of the Armenian Genocide
*altogether* by various Turkish governments (though not the first Turkish
government right after those events) and even by the *entire*, brainwashed
Turkish people that is so reproachable and disgusting and that was
addressed
in the OP above. The Turks differ in that respect not a bit from the Nazi
Germans in 1945 that, too, tried to deny the Jewish Holocaust.
