US-led coalition forces killed one terrorist suspect and captured 16
during
raids Friday across Iraq, the US military re****ted.
Northeast of Karmah, 80 km west of Baghdad, a suspected Al Qaeda media
emir
(leader) was captured along with seven others believed to be part of the
Al
Qaeda in Iraq terrorist network, the re****t added.
In Mosul, coalition forces captured an Al Qaeda related suspect known as
'the butcher' and allegedly responsible for numerous kidnappings,
beheadings
and suicide operations in Ramadi, 110 km west of Baghdad, and Mosul, 400
km
north of Baghdad.
They also captured five other suspects and killed another during the raid.
During operations in Fallujah, 70 km west of Baghdad, two suspected
terrorists with alleged ties to 'foreign fighter facilitation' were
captured.
