Right on Phish! We get fed our share of bull**** also as do every other
nation but I have to agree with you that the US must be right up there
with
the worst of the worst in terms of relevant and accurate information or
responsible re****ting, whatever the hell that means. The place seems first
to be coming unglued, I hope we're not next.
As for the nuclear / energy issue. That's one of the big, complex ones to
be
sure. I haven't dwelled on the energy issue too much but at first stroke
and
with a healthy amount of skepticism, I tend to lean toward nuclear as a
viable option. Canada's nukes are allegedly the ones that can't meltdown
since the fission stops if the water is removed. This is safer than other
reactor processes since they continue to fuse and eventually melt when the
water is removed. By comparison, Canada's is easier to stop. I'm troubled
by
the waste issue of course, but hell, if we keep on the course we've all
been
on for the past thirty or so years, we will be screwed before the energy
issue threatens the economic engine.
