Waaaah! I deserve your critique. I have been too hard on you and my
"miserable failure" poke at you was uncalled for. You're just so damned
irritating sometimes and my tolerance wears thin. I don't consider myself
a
failure however but I will certainly agree that I'm not a success by
society's standards. I would argue a great deal, though not all, of my
hard****p is due to external forces (no, not UFO's), so most of the time I
don't feel bad about myself but it *is* frustrating to be locked out of
the
game when I feel I have a lot to offer which is productive and positive.
You should check an article, (not sure if I can find it off hand), dealing
with the issue of "gifted children". It was very helpful to me and seemed
to
offer a plausible explanation and insight for many events in my life which
were difficult to explain. I'm definitely what I would consider, "fringe".
That's to say, I'm located somewhere on one of the thin edges of the bell
curve and a minority of sorts. I'm often the brunt of jokes or ridicule
but
I've faced that from a young age and am quite accustomed to it by now. I
just try to be patient, understanding, empathetic and attempt to provide
insight whenever possible.
