Re: The current controversy over shock jock Don Imus's racist and
sexist comments against Rutgers U. women's basketball team. Imus was
just invoking the term that many black men use against women. He did
not make the word "hoe" up. This is a common slang used by mainly urban
black men against black women, along with several other hateful terms.
Blacks are calling for Imus to be fired, but why have none of them
addressed the fact that Imus was just imitating how for than a few black
men behave toward their women? If it is wrong for a white man to say
such things toward black (or any other race for that matter) women, then
it is wrong for black men to do it as well.
If any of you are wondering "is he black or white", then you are
obviously missing the point.
